School Councillors 2014-2015

School Councillors 2014-2015 1

We have a strong and active School Council which consists of two groups of students, one from Lower School (Years 1, 2 and 3) and one from Upper School (Years 4, 5 and 6).  These pupils have been elected by their peers in their classes to represent the views of the pupils and raise issues with the Leadership Team of the school.  The School Councils are also involved in important decision making.

The School Councils aim to:

  • Ensure the teachers and the Leadership Team respond to the views, feelings and opinions of all the pupils
  • Influence decisions that affect pupils in the school
  • Play an active role in making Stanhope Primary School a better place
  • Help all pupils enjoy their education and feel safe being in school
  • Lead a weekly assembly in their own class
