School Councillors

Children are at the heart of our school community. As a school we value the thoughts, ideas and opinions of all our children and the School Council is one way of ensuring the voice of the children is heard and has an impact on the development of the school. Councillors are encouraged in developing skills such as confidence, communication and negotiation.

The School Council is made up of representatives from each class. They are elected by their peers to represent their class during elections held in September. Being a school councillor is a very responsible position as they have to have a lot of sensible ideas and take on projects in their spare time.

  • The Council are responsible for the on-going process of collecting the thoughts, ideas and opinions of the children in their class and reporting back to the Council.
  • They bring new ideas forward for how we can improve our school and local environment.
