History of Stanhope

Stanhope Primary School is a large primary school located in the heart of Greenford which is in the London borough of Ealing.

Stanhope School was named after the Stanhope Park mansion shown below:

Stanhope Park was home to Blanche Bingley-Hillyard, winner of six Wimbledon title and 'one of the all-time greats of the sport. (Wimbledon.com)

Stanhope School was opened in June 1930 and referred to as, 'the show school of Greater Ealing'.
