SEND & Inclusion
At Stanhope Primary School, we believe that Inclusion is a fundamental right. We are committed to creating a welcoming, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is valued, respected and supported to achieve their full potential. Inclusion is seen as a universal human right.
We celebrate the individuality of every pupil and embrace diversity in all its forms. We celebrate the unique strengths, talents and backgrounds of all our pupils and recognise that diversity enriches our school community. In line with Equality Act 2010, we are dedicated to promoting equality, fostering a sense of belonging and ensuring that every child has equitable access to high-quality learning and opportunities to thrive.
We believe that every child has the right to learn alongside their peers in an inclusive environment where their individual needs are understood, supported and celebrated.
Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinators (SENDCos), Ms Martinez and Ms Pietruszka, are committed to working in partnership with our families, staff and external agencies to ensure that every child receives the support the need to succeed.
SEND Policy
We are always happy to welcome your feedback via email or in person. To support parents through what can be a difficult journey, we regularly host SEND parents coffee mornings and afternoons, which give our parents the opportunity to share, advise and support each other.
The Local Offer
The name 'Local Offer' is used to describe all the services and provision available to children and young people aged 0-25, and families 'locally' who are living with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).
The Local Offer website is a resource to help you understand what is available and how to access services and support.
