Welcome
On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I welcome you to Stanhope Primary School.

I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher of Stanhope Primary School – a school unwavering in its ambition for every child, relentless in its pursuit of excellence, and deeply committed to equality and inclusion.
Our core values – confidence, kindness, empathy, respect and honesty – are lived daily. They shape how we learn, how we treat one another, and how we prepare our pupils to contribute meaningfully to society. We develop confident, articulate learners who are ready to make a genuine difference in their communities and beyond.
At Stanhope, children are at the heart of everything we do. Safeguarding and wellbeing come first – always. From this strong foundation, our pupils thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Our curriculum is rich, ambitious and without limits. There is no glass ceiling. We cultivate curiosity, resilience and a love of challenge, ensuring every child is inspired to step beyond their comfort zone. Language and oracy are central to our approach, empowering pupils with the communication skills that unlock future success.
We are proud to offer exceptional opportunities beyond the classroom. From LAMDA and Debate to Mandarin and our partnership with the Primary Shakespeare Company, our pupils benefit from a truly enriching experience. Educational visits, leadership opportunities and real-world learning ensure our children’s education is both meaningful and memorable.
Our work has received national recognition, including success by the National Schools Awards for Leadership Team of the Year. These achievements reflect the dedication of our exceptional staff, the strength of our community, and the ambition we hold for every child.
Relationships and partnership is at the core of our success. We actively listen to and work alongside pupils, families, staff, governors and our wider community to continually improve and grow.
If you would like to experience Stanhope in action, we would be delighted to welcome you. Please contact the school office to arrange a visit.
